FAQ’s

What is included in the tour?

We provide roundtrip transportation from the meeting point at the baseyard in Napili, Maui.
1 – 1.5 hours of immersion in nature, local history (“talk story”) and conservation education and efforts. We serve pineapples and a sweet snack at the end of the hike. Bring your own water bottle, we provide water at the start of the tour. We provide walking sticks.

How long is the walk?
Depending on your physical ability, our nature walk is 2 miles roundtrip and takes 60 – 90 minutes.
Who is this tour suitable for?
Anyone who can handle a moderate two-mile, round-trip hike in potentially slippery conditions can come. We encourage families and just want to ensure that the keiki can handle the journey. Please do not plan on carrying your children unless you have a proper carrying backpack.
What should we wear?
Comfortable outdoor clothes are recommended. Since the weather is unpredictable in the mountains, bring an extra layer, sun protection and a hat. Long pants are recommended but not mandatory. Sneakers or hiking boots will suffice as it can get muddy and slippery on the trail. Close-toed shoes are a must.
What if the weather is bad?
Please see our contact page for our full cancellation policy. If it is raining or too wet, we will offer you a suitable alternative or reschedule for another day.
Are there restrooms?
There are flush toilets at the base-yard and there is a compost toilet at the trailhead.
